1. My Favorite New Routine Stretch at Night

This really helps my legs after bein on my feet all day. It also clears my head. This position moves lymph through the body which eliminates stress, pain and headaches. Try it for 10 minutes.
2. Favorite How- To: Homemade Coconut Butter

Raw coconut butter in my kitchen? Enough said!:)
3. Favorite Hair Style Goal

Long locks, here I come! I'm trying so hard to grow my hair out again. I had to cut it because it had gotten so dry and thin, which ruined it. Now, it's thick, healthy and growing like a weed thanks to my nutrition!
4. Favorite Yoga Sequence Series

All I can say about these poses is holy moly! They feel so amazing after a long day on your feet! I love yoga for how it makes me feel, not for how many calories it burns. This has helped me in more ways imaginable. It really clears my head when other things don't seem to work.
6. Favorite Article of the Week: 10 Things the Food Industry Doesn't Want You to Know

I will preach this until the day I die- our country's food system is LYING TO US! Everytime we go to the store, it just ticks me off. The packages are nothing but lies, lies, lies! I swear, they are worse than some of my ex boyfriends:) In all seriousness, quit buying fake food -even if you have a coupon! Read this article and change your life.
7. Favorite Superfood Spotlight of the Week : Chia Seeds

Think you know all about this superfood? Guess what ? You don't! Read this to find out just how great these seeds are and what they can do for you. They are one of the top critical foods I eat to beat depression and anxiety!:)
8. Best Advice on Fat Intake : 6 Big Fat Myths About Fat

Great audio podcast on fat intake and why we need to stop fearing fat! Listen to this and be amazed. Case and point: Our nation eats more low-foods and less pure saturated fats than ever, yet we are at a higher obesity risks than ever! Polyunsaturated fats from processed vegetable oils are the real problem, not natural, raw fats.
9. Favorite New Green Smoothie Idea:

AH! I love this idea! I may use part of that real vanilla bean found in my favorite new raw vanilla coconut oil from Bright Earth Foods to make this!:)
10. My favorite new recipe creation : Raw Coconut Buttercups
I created homemade coconut butter and made it into buttercups just like a miniature Reese's!:) I know you guys are going to love this! Plus, it's inexpensive! Stay tuned for that! :)
Have a FABULOUS FRIDAY~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, I´d love to see how you make your own coconut butter!
ReplyDeletethen I don´t have to buy it right? ;)
I already love the coconut cream I make out of coconut milk, so..
Oh, no. 6.. your fave. article of the week...you should have known what just happened a couple of week s ago here in Sweden. (Although, I NEVER believe in everything I read at the labels and I don´t know about how strict the law is in USA about food labels, but they´re not that strict about it here in Sweden! Remember, I told you that they don´t even have to write if the milk is homogenized or not!) Well, the story goes.. they found meat of horse in ready-to-eat meals, instead of cow meat. Ok, it´s not that big of a deal, the fact that it was HORSE meat.. it´s not what´s the problem is. The REAL problem is that it didn´t say so on the food label, they only found out of a random test! After this came out, even horse meat were found in IKEA´s meatballs and many others ready-to-eat-meals as well. Lucky me, who NEVER even eaten a ready-to-eat-meal in my whole life. I already find them disgusting and non tasteful non nutritious as it is! I´d never put that in my body anyway!
This just proves that we can never trust the food labels. I mean..for ex. they could have put meat of lab rats instead of cow or horse meat, I don´t think we´d feel the taste any different with all the additives they use!
That GREEN drink looks delicious! =)
I just wish that we lived closer so we could make all this wonderful food and drinks together! Happy Friday!
(feel free to read my blog to if you´re not already do!
maybe it works if you use Google translate?)
Hi Miss H!: ) Thanks for your comments! WOW~! I heard about the horse meat stint over here. That is terrible! Yes, it would be great to be able to meet with friends on here and create new recipes and such! I'll check out your blog!:) What is the link?:)

DeleteHey, my Pastor actually told me to that pose with your feet against the wall; she said it was so relaxing! Man, I made raw coconut butter once but it wasn't as smooth and creamy as I wanted it to be. I suppose processing it longer would've helped, but I have a small processor and didn't want to overheat it and have it explode coconut everywhere haha. I can't wait for the coconut butter cups recipe, all I can say is YUM. Have you posted that recipe for the almond pulp cake in your kefir post; I was going to make the kefir today and saw that recipe and it looked tasty as well. These are all great though Heather:)
ReplyDeleteHi Chloe! Thank you!! I have a little secret on that coconut butter success. I made the same mistake as you !:) I also have the almond pulp recipe saved for a special feature this week!:) Thanks for being so interested ! Save your pulp !!!;)
